Do We Take Too Many Pictures?

Is there such a thing as too many pictures? Was it really necessary for me to take a picture of my son on the couch after he came home sick on the first day of school? Some people may say, "No." I, on the other hand, say a resounding, "YES!" Maybe, it is because I am an addicted Scrapbooker. But, I think there is a deeper issue here.
